LOCAL MISSION PROJECT (LMP)
Local Mission Project is a community mission project in which Springdale
First United Methodist youth, Searcy First United Methodist youth and now
Rogers First United Methodist Church youth! Youth and adults are divided
into work teams and assigned to one or more work sites in Northwest Arkansas
for the week. Projects have included: building wheelchair ramps, storage
sheds, gazebos, installing insulation, showers, sheetrock and finishing
sheetrock, painting, yard work, siding houses, as well as various other
tasks. LMP works with different area agencies and organizations to locate
families in Northwest Arkansas who are in need of help. In addition to
working on the sites every day, students enjoy awesome worship, daily
devotionals, and special activities in the evenings.
LMP is all about serving our God and serving his people!
